1. What is home networking?
Time Warner Cable Home Networking connects all the computers in your home to your RoadRunner High Speed Online Internet connection.

2. Are there wired and wireless versions?
Time Warner Cable Home Networking is available in both wired and wireless versions.  The wired version uses the existing phone lines in your home to connect your computers– so there are no messy wires or additional cables to install.  And since both voice and data can use the phone lines at the same time, you can surf the web and talk on the phone at the same time.
Our wireless home networking solution connects your laptop wirelessly for added mobility – allowing you to surf the web from any room in your house.

3. What are the benefits of home networking?
Time Warner Cable Home Networking enables the whole family to be on the Internet instantly with a single high-speed Internet connection. Time Warner Cable Home Networking also has an advanced intelligent firewall for enhanced security. Plus, Time Warner Cable’s technicians will set up and install the network for you and we provide 24/7 service and support.

4. Do you have to buy any additional equipment?
No. There’s no need to purchase anything extra. However, customers must have high-speed cable Internet service.

5. Will home networking affect the speed of my Internet connection?
No. Increasing the number of users does not affect the speed or time it takes to log onto the Internet.

And customers should not experience any delays. Typically, sharing bandwidth between multiple computers will not cause any significant delay, unless you’re doing something that requires a large amount of bandwidth, like streaming video or a large graphics transfer.

6.Is it possible to have both Windows and Macintosh computers on this home network?
Yes. Time Warner Cable Home Networking works with both Windows and Macintosh computers.

7.Why should people buy this service from Time Warner Cable instead of a retailer?
With Time Warner Cable Home Networking, you get the benefit of an easy-to-use and easy-to-install network. Our technicians will customize the network to each customer’s personal preference. Plus, you save money on any custom equipment.

8. I work from my home.  Can I access my office network?
The system will support VPN pass-through tunnels via IPSEC, PPTP, L2TP.
